Near 5040 25th Street S.; Arlington, VA
The stone is on the north side of S. Walter Reed Drive about 100 feet
east of its intersection with King Street. The stone is short and
incription-less, consistent with Woodward's 1908 report that the "stone
is broken, and the top seems to be lost. The entire base, with a few
inches of the finished portion, was found lying on the ground
in approximately the same spot where it had originally been placed."
The 1995 NOVABOSTCO report stated that "the stump of SW5 may not
be" original, however. The stone is nearly 45 feet from its original
position.
